Sitting atop a palanquin hefted by nurglings Theadas mused over the
recent forays into the materium. A strike against the Sons of Russ had
cost him an eye. While resting after defeating both a wolf rider and his
accompanying psyker the Champion had been taken unaware. The combat
knife had wedge itself firmly through his socket and cut across much of
the helmet, virtually destroying it. Quickly Theadas called a retreat
back into the warp to recover, happy with their spread of Nurgle's great
gift at the cost of none of their own.
Next he made a pinpoint
strike against two of his much hated foes. A sergeant of the False
Emperor's first legion, the Dark Angels, had been in talks with a Recon
Team from the Tau Sept, relaying information from some lone Eldar force
on some mission. Theadas made haste and called forth his growing warband
to war coming up upon them while they fought against the Eldar. Taken
by surprise his enemies were crushed between both blades and bolts, but
stragglers survived. However they were paid no head and drunk with
success Theadas rode onward with his warband chasing after the Eldar.
Cornering
them in another section of the Hive's city he made ready to fight, only
to despair in the sight of the eldritc abomination accompanying the
warlock. Large constructs virtually immune to Nurgle's blessings. After a
quick bout of curses at his foes Theadas cried out for Nurgles aid
before heading in to smite the witch. Blazing forward his band fired
round after round of bolts with plasma streaming by to little effect.
Then the two sides meet in a titanic brawl. Theadas looked hard into the
warlock's helm as his enemy built up psychic might to empower the
constructs and himself again, continuing to make them immune, but aid
came from the warp. Vicious predators attacked the psyker wounding him
enough to retreat. However his guards quickly countered and despite
their losses forced Theadas off his bike and the rest of the team to
fall back.
Despite the two recently losses however Theadas was
still in a relatively good mood. more reinforcements had come at his
call and now his warband was stronger then ever before. By Nurgle's will
they would ride forth once again soon. Leaving their small frigate they
would dare another raid seeking to find another forgotten relic, like
his own blade. The great Warlord Mors, Herald of Nurgle's Wrath, would
bless them with new gift of contagion upon their return and if Theadas
was especially lucky maybe fate would smile upon him and grant him
demonhood as well, so he could follow his lord and truly enter the Great
Game fighting at their Father's side.
